We have been very busy with hockey and thankfully we are finished. We are now full throttle with softball and baseball. That is ok though because we are blessed to be able to spend time together and enjoy playing. We went to the ball park yesterday after the afternoon session of conference for our traditional sunday home run derby. Despite getting older and slower, Steve and I still beat the kids. Steve hit six rockets over the fence, I hit one ember over. I am feeling every bit my age and showed my age by having to ice my knee for 3 hours and take two aspirins before going to bed early.
This Valentines Day, Steve and I decided not to give each other gifts or dinners but to spend a weekend together. We went ice fishing at Fish Lake and stayed in a little cabin just off the lake. We had great weather and a fun time. We caught a few slimy snake-like trout and tons of little yellow perch.
