OK it is January and I still have my holiday wallpaper up. Well I forgot how to change it so there. I have taken the example of Julia's "random thoughts and what not's" to just share what I am thinking, experiencing, or hallucinating.
Steve is having a mid-life crisis. This is not a complete shock because I had been seeing the signs. You know, losing weight, tanning booth, expensive collogne, obsession with the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders. Still I thought I would be immune to such nonsense. Last tuesday Steve was accepted into Stevens Heneger College's Respiratory Therapist. This is surprising since he only applied last monday and it took him until wednesday to learn how to spell respiratory.
Life with three teenagers is a little mind boggling. I will be in this situation for four more years. LeighAnn will turn 16 (the dating and driving world will never be the same) on February 15. I will be turning 100 on December 27th. LeighAnn is skating again with the Utah County Independant team. I thought that she was through with hockey but the old stinky pads had been wooing her. She is playing defense and so far the worst check she has received has been from her own teammate who fell off his skates.
It is actually Victoria who has gone through the latest metamorphisis. Last year at this time she still wanted to hold my hand going into the grocery store. We gave her stickers for making her bed and taking a shower. Now she has discovered eyeliner and hair spray. She is a very beautiful girl and I am not sure Steve will be ready for the ramifications of this. Perhaps this goes back to the etiology of the mid-life crisis. If only we had not emphasized hygience so much. Oh to go back in time.
Mitchell is well Mitchell. I begged him not to turn 13. I almost had him with a go-cart but in the end I lost my 6th grader to the lure of puberty. He is to epitomy of wanting what you do not have. He wants dark brown long hair. He is a toe head blond that looks like a girl when his hair is two inches long. Oh but I should not complain lest he wants to try on my shoes and skirts.
