Pam and I went to Boulder to go fly fishing on the Boulder Mountain. We went on Friday and got in the float tubes on Lower Bowns Reservoir. We caught a bunch of Rainbows between 10 and 14 inches. On Saturday we hired a guide to take us to Pine Creek Reservoir for Colorado River Cutthroat. The huge fish were swimming in 6 inches of water all the while mocking us. They were too juiced up on hormones to be interested in anything we threw at them all day long. We got skunked despite 9 hours of trying. After going to church with Grandpa and Grandma Brems, we hiked up to Chriss Lake for one last fishing effort before heading home. With a lot of surface activity, we caught about 6 little buggers. Here is Pam with the "biggest" catch of the trip. The best part is that two middle aged beginning fly fishers did better on their own than they did with the paid fishing professional!
