Pepe Le' Pew

Jared is in Arizona this Easter weekend. While he is gone, he asked me to watch his dog, Zippo. Jared and his family have always been good to dog sit for me so it was an easy to say yes. Victoria was very excited since she and Mitchell fight over who gets to have Reggie sleep with them. Early this morning, M & V take the dogs to the river for a swim and a run. During the adventure, Reggie dug into a bush and ousted a young skunk. He quickly got sprayed in the face. Mitchell thought this was great like some practical joke on 'ole Reg. So he encouraged Reggie to keep at him, Zippo got right into the game and then both of them took another shot. M & V thought that this was so great that they immediately ran home to share the good news . . . the dogs followed. My house smells so bad that as soon as you walk in the door, your eyes water. Usually this happens to me when I come home from work but it is from despair at how messy the house is.

I did what any sane woman would do, I got in the car and went shopping. I felt that they should all be quarantined in the eau de' pew. After a quick trip to Costco and my comfort food of a bean and cheese burrito with a lime coke, I went to my happy place . . . the cricket rooms at RC Willey. Today was free hot dog day (too bad I had already eaten a burrito) so it was a little crowded but at least it didn't stick. I did get a little irksome at the sales lady though and asked me if I needed any help. Of course I said yes, and handed her my coke cup and asked for a refill. She then asked me to leave the store.
